TYPICAL ITINERARY

Set sail from Melbourne on your 13 night New Zealand - Roundtrip cruise to:

Fjordland Pk
The Fiordland National Park is one New Zealand’s most famous tourist destinations. It is located on the south west corner of New Zealand and is made up of large and majestic fiords including Milford Sound, Doubtful Sound and Te Anau. The area boasts rugged terrain , mountainous fiords and a picturesque coastline, and is almost entirely covered in bush.

Pt. Chalmers, New Zealand
Port Chalmers is the main port of the city of Dunedin, New Zealand. Although it has been a suburb since local body reorganisation in the 1980s, it is still regarded by most people throughout Dunedin as a separate town. Port Chalmers lies ten kilometres inside Otago Harbour, some 15 kilometres northeast from Dunedin's city centre.

Christchurch, New Zealand
Christchurch is the largest city on the east coast of the South Island of New Zealand. It is located on the edge of the Canterbury plains and is a major stepping off point for touring the South Island. Mountains, ocean beaches, rivers, lakes and wide open spaces can be found less than an hour from the city centre. The Avon River, a spread of Victorian architecture, and the avenues and squares, are a responsible for Christchurch’s reputation of "Englishness”. Internationally famed ‘The Garden City’, one-eighth of its area is devoted to public parks, reserves, and recreation grounds, with the 186-hectare (459-acre) Hagley Park smack in its center. It is a place where its residents continue to enjoy a healthy, active lifestyle amidst a natural environment world-renowned for its beauty. Because of its excellent transport facilities, bountiful water supply, and inexpensive hydroelectric power, Christchurch is one of the most important centres in New Zealand.

Wellington, New Zealand
Wellington is the capital city and geographical centre of New Zealand, situated at the southern tip of New Zealand’s north island. It is surrounded by hills and a rugged coastline, and boasts a stunning harbor. It is known both as the Windy city and as the cultural and arts capital of New Zealand. Wellington has many historic sites and buildings to visit. Among these are Antrim House, the Colonial Cottage Museum and Old St Paul's Cathedral. A trip on the Cable Car is popular, as is a harbor cruise or a ferry trip to Eastbourne, where there are craft shops, galleries and cafes. There are 350 restaurants and cafes in Wellington serving a wide range of cuisines, and downtown Wellington on Lambton Quay is popular for shopping.

Napier, New Zealand
Napier is a city in Hawkes Bay, on the east coast of the North Island of New Zealand. The city is famed for its Art Deco architecture which resulted from rebuilding after an earthquake in 1931. It is also known for its locally produced wines and café scene. Other attractions include the Hawkes Bay Aquarium, Kiwi House and Marineland. There are also a wide variety of water sports on offer.

Tauranga, New Zealand
Tauranga is the largest city of the Bay of Plenty region of the North Island of New Zealand. It is located at the head of a large harbour which extends along the western Bay of Plenty. It is one of the major resort cities in New Zealand, famous for its beautiful beaches and is popular destination with retirees. Tauranga has much to offer visitors, including excursions to Mayor and Motiti Islands, fishing trips (for big game and small) and scenic flights. The golden sands of nearby Mount Maunganui's magnificent ocean beach are popular with swimmers, sailors and surfers. Nearby is Wairoa River which is renowned for its canoeing and white water rafting. Dolphin watching cruises on the Bay of Plenty are also popular.

Auckland, New Zealand
Auckland is located on the north island of New Zealand, situated between two magnificent harbours, the Waitemata and the Manukau. It is the largest city in NZ and is often referred to as the ‘City of Sails’ due to the large number of yachts which travel in its waters. Auckland city has a great range of shops including designer boutiques, markets and stalls. It is also home to many fine galleries and museums including the Auckland Museum and the Auckland City Art Gallery. Restaurants in the waterfront suburbs such as Mission Bay or St Heliers and the inner city specialise in local seafood delicacies. There are also a number of attractive public gardens and reserves surrounding the city. The large Polynesian population in Auckalnd include Maori, Samoan, Cook Island and Tongan people whom all contribute to the city's vibrant culture. Local markets and churches in particular provide an insight to the local cultures.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THIS CRUISE

Terms of booking on this website

Information disclaimer

The rates on this website are often heavily discounted. This is due to our negotiated rates and bulk buying power. On very rare occasions, a rate may be displayed incorrectly due to our, or the cruise operator's error. In such a case, if you make a reservation enquiry with us at a quoted rate that is incorrect, we will notify you of any price change and give you the option to proceed or cancel. We make every effort to keep information on our site up to date, but we cannot guarantee this website is free of errors or omissions and retain the right to update or change the information published at any time.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law we/the owners of this website will not be liable to you or to any third party (whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage (including but not limited to any accident, injury, delay or loss of enjoyment) arising out of your reliance upon information contained on this website, including but not limited to your use (or inability to use) any products or services described or procured through this website. When making a reservation via this website or over the phone, we ask you to agree to the terms and conditions displayed. Your reservation and cruise holiday will be governed by the terms of the agreement and any other documentation or information provided to you before you depart. Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of Victoria and the jurisdiction of the Victorian courts.

Booking information

To reserve a cabin(s), you must complete our reservations enquiry form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Your deposit then becomes subject to the cancellation policy of the cruise line and Cruise Republic. These are stated in the terms and conditions.

When your booking has been confirmed we will send  you your cruise booking number for the cruise line. Once you receive your confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date without incurring a penalty. If you are booking via phone, please first make sure you have read the terms and conditions. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the customer to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.

Fare
Fare Type:

Your fare is determined by the fare type, the number of guests in your stateroom, its location on the ship, the amenities offered, port charges, government taxes and any applicable airfares including taxes and fees. Child fares, where available, only apply when children are the third (3rd) or fourth (4th) guest in a stateroom and are aged under 13 years.

Once booked, your fare is only subject to any increased taxes. You will be notified of this before it is added to your fare or to your on board account.

Fare Changes:
Sometimes we will release promotional fares. These can be offered and withdrawn at any time. If after booking you decide to change to one of these promotional fares, you will need to cancel your existing booking and our ‘Cancellation & Refunds’ policy will apply.

Stateroom Changes

When making a booking with a specific stateroom number, please advise us or your Travel Agent if you do not want your stateroom changed. This means that you would not be offered a complimentary upgrade to a higher priced category, if one was to become available. Please note that your stateroom can still be changed for operational reasons, including when the number of people booked in the stateroom is less that the number of beds in the stateroom.

Past guest fare) additional and remaining guests will no longer be entitled to this promotional fare. The booking will revert to a different fare and the remaining guests will need to pay the difference in cost if any.

Air:
Additional fees charged by airlines will be passed on to the guests.

Pregnancy:
Guests who will be pregnant during their cruise are required to supply a physicians ‘fit to travel’ note, including your estimated due date, prior to embarkation. We are unable to accept any guests who will have entered their 24th week or later of pregnancy, by the end of the cruise.

Minimum Age
Stateroom Age Requirements:
To ensure there is suitable supervision, there needs to be at least one guest 18 years or older in each stateroom. However, to accommodate families cruising together, children may occupy a separate stateroom to their parent/legal guardian, providing one child is 16 years or over.

Minimum Age to Book:
For cruises departing from an Australian port between 1 November and 7 January, any passenger under 19 years of age on the day they board the cruise, must travel in the same stateroom as a responsible adult 19 years or older. In addition, from 8 January to 31 January, there is a limit on the number of passengers under 19 years of age who can travel unaccompanied. Once the limit is reached, a responsible adult 19 years or older must travel in the same stateroom. We can advise you at the time of booking whether the limit applies to your booking. The responsible adult is accountable for passengers under 19 years of age in their stateroom for the duration of the cruise, and the ‘Rights of the Captain’ will be applied to anyone who displays disruptive behaviour.

We welcome children 12 months and over to cruise with us. We are unable to accommodate infants under 12 months due to limited neo-natal facilities on board and at ports of call.

Children & Teenagers
Adult Supervision:

Parents/Legal guardians are responsible for children and teenagers at all times. If a child or teenager displays dangerous or disruptive behaviour, the ‘Rights of the Captain’ will be applied to both parent/legal guardian and child/teenager. Children’s access to pools and spas may be restricted and adult supervision is required at all times. Guests under the age of 18 are not permitted in child free areas such as Serenity.

Children's Centres
Centre Attendance Requirements:
Carnival Cruise Lines Youth programs provide highly engaging age-appropriate activities for children and teenagers between the ages of 2 and 17 years old. Carnival’s policy is to group children together according to their age. Youth Program age policies are in place so that we can provide participants with age appropriate activities and so they can mingle with children their own age. The age of the child on the day they board the cruise is the age we use for the entire holiday.

Baby Sitting:
For the convenience of our guests, Camp Carnival offers babysitting services for children aged between 12 months to 11 years each evening, from 10:00pm to 3:00am at an additional fee.

Any alcohol purchased ashore will be collected at the gangway for safe keeping and will be returned to you on the last day of your cruise

Health Notification:

We care about the health and safety of our guests. To assist, please advise us at the time of booking if you have any condition that requires medical attention, medication or special treatment. We may also ask you to complete a health questionnaire.

Health Restrictions:
If a guest has a condition that we decide may seriously affect the enjoyment, health or safety of themselves or any other person on board, we can refuse or cancel a booking, where necessary. We will give reasonable consideration when reaching this decision and will advise you as soon as possible. Provided you have given us all relevant information about the condition at the time of booking, you will be entitled to a full refund if we cancel your booking on the basis of this condition.

Health Assistance:
Guests that need assistance should always be accompanied by a carer to help with day to day activities as our crew and medical staff are unable to act as personal careers.

Treatment:

Each ship has a Medical Centre that is staffed by registered doctors and nurses, who are available during scheduled clinic times to provide medical care for everyone on board. They are also available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for medical emergencies. Our Medical Centre is only for medical needs arising on board and cannot cater for treatments that you know you will require while on holiday.

Medical Liability Limitation:
We are not a healthcare provider and may not be held liable for the sickness, injury or death of any guest arising from any advice, treatment, care, services or any omission by medical staff. These medical providers exercise their own medical judgement and expertise.

Onboard Medical Charges
Medical Charges:

All cruises on our ships are outside the scope of Australian Medicare, New Zealand Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) and private health insurance. Consultations, treatments and medication are charged at private rates and must be paid by you and claimed through your travel insurance.

Other Service Providers
Liability Limitations:

While we specialise in cruising holidays, you may choose to book other services with us such as flights and shore tours. We can assist you in making these arrangements; however, we act only as a booking agent. The service providers are solely responsible for the information and service offered and their conditions will apply. Although our responsibility is on board the ship, where we arrange these services for you, we will assist in addressing any concerns you may have.

Any arrangements made with other service providers by or for you are your responsibility and entirely at your own risk.

Ship & Itinerary Changes

We will do everything we reasonably can to make sure everything goes according to plan; however, sometimes changes can happen that may affect your holiday experience. This could include weather, mechanical difficulties, civil unrest or any other unforeseen circumstances.

Force Majeure:
Once your cruise has commenced, if we are required to change the itinerary or cancel the cruise due to safety, maritime law, severe weather or to protect human life or health, we are not required to provide any compensation unless consumer laws allow otherwise. With this in mind, please do not make any important arrangements or meetings based on the proposed itinerary.

Ship Charters:
In addition, we may charter all or part of the ship, or remove the ship from service where this becomes necessary. We may change the itinerary, ship or cancel the cruise due to operational or commercial requirements.

Pre-Cruise Cancellations:
We will notify you of these changes as soon as we can. Where we cancel a cruise or make a significant change to the ports in your itinerary prior to departure, you will have the choice of:
1. the new itinerary;
2. an alternative cruise of comparable standard, if available; or
3. cancelling the cruise for a full refund of your fare.

Rights of the Captain

If a guest seriously affects the safety, well-being or enjoyment of themselves or any other person on board, the Captain has the right to confine, sedate or disembark the guest. In such cases, we are not responsible for any expenses including your return home. In addition, you will not be entitled to any refunds. While the Captain will always act reasonably in these circumstances, you accept that the safety, well-being and enjoyment of everyone on board comes first.

Leaving the Cruise Early

If you are required, or choose, to leave the cruise for any reason (unless caused by our proven negligence or failure to provide services with due care and skill and that are reasonably fit for purpose), we are not responsible for any expenses, including your return home. This also applies if you do not return to the ship in time for sailing after a port visit. If we assist with any costs, you will need to repay us on your return. In addition, you will not be entitled to any refunds.

This contract is governed by the laws in force in New South Wales. You agree that any action you bring against us will be brought in New South Wales, Australia.

If you have a claim against us, you agree only to bring action against us and not any of our related bodies corporate as defined in the Corporations Act 2001(Cth).
